About Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V is an open-world action-adventure game set in Los Santos and Blaine County, Rockstar’s fictional version of Southern California. Its story follows retired bank robber Michael De Santa, street hustler Franklin Clinton and career criminal Trevor Philips, whose lives collide through a series of increasingly ambitious heists.
Players can switch between the three protagonists during free exploration and scripted missions. The structure combines driving, shooting, planning and character-specific abilities with a broad satirical world of businesses, leisure activities and random encounters.
Rockstar North developed the game and Rockstar Games published it. First released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, it later expanded to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with technical and content improvements.
