About Grand Theft Auto VI
Grand Theft Auto VI returns Rockstar Games’ open-world crime series to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-lit streets of Vice City and the surrounding communities. The game follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two partners drawn into a conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong.
Built for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game expands the series’ satirical vision of modern American life through a densely connected world of cities, wetlands, islands and highways. Its story centres on the trust between Jason and Lucia as they navigate criminal networks across Leonida.
Rockstar revealed the first trailer in December 2023 and followed it with a second trailer in May 2025. The official media campaign has introduced Vice City, Leonida and a wider ensemble around the two protagonists.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games is developing and publishing the title using the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine.
