The Last of Us: Left Behind

Left Behind interweaves two periods in Ellie’s life: her search for medical supplies during the main game and an earlier day spent with her friend Riley in an abandoned mall. The structure deepens Ellie’s history while experimenting with quieter exploration and encounters where infected and human enemies can collide.

It first launched in February 2014 as downloadable story content requiring The Last of Us on PS3. Naughty Dog later issued a standalone PS3 and PS4 release in May 2015.

The chapter is included within The Last of Us Remastered and was rebuilt as part of The Last of Us Part I. This Playxby entry represents the separately marketed Left Behind content, not an unrelated sequel.
