Judy Alvarez is one of Night City’s most accomplished braindance technicians and a committed member of the Mox. She works from the basement of Lizzie’s Bar, where her technical skill is matched by a strong concern for the people exploited by the city’s entertainment industry. Judy is talented, idealistic and emotionally direct, qualities that often place her at odds with the compromises required to survive in Night City.

She enters V’s story through Evelyn Parker and the planning of the Konpeki Plaza heist. After the operation collapses, Judy’s search for Evelyn develops into a longer storyline about Clouds, the Mox and whether vulnerable workers can gain meaningful control over their lives. V can support or challenge her plans, and for a compatible V she can become a romantic partner. Several outcomes depend on player choices, so her eventual future is not a single fixed canon.

Judy’s visual identity, tattoos and specialist braindance equipment have made her one of the game’s most recognizable characters. Her English performance by Carla Tassara received significant critical attention, including a BAFTA Games Awards nomination. Her personal messages, apartment details and optional underwater sequence reveal interests and memories that are easy to miss in a main-story-only playthrough.
